We regularly run client meetings for all species, farmer training courses and health clubs.

See below for upcoming courses and meetings.

  • This medicines course is suitable for all involved in milking and the treatment of dairy cattle.

Whether you’ve had a bulk tank failure, need a medicines course for farm assurance or would just like to improve medicine use on farm. This course promotes best practice to avoid medicine residues and to help reduce antibiotic resistance.

The course is constantly being updated to ensure we are giving you the newest advice. You will leave the course with a certificate and medicines charts tailored to your farm. The courses are run at various points throughout the year and we always have a waiting list if we do not yet have a date specified for the next course.

Students

At Wright and Morten, we have been providing veterinary students with high quality EMS for many years and are keen to demonstrate modern, proactive livestock practice to enthusiastic students.

We try and encourage our students to think progressively and give them opportunities to take responsibility, under suitable guidance, to undertake farm investigative tasks such as mobility scoring and associated risk factor investigations, condition scoring and teat scoring. We also, where possible, undertake follow up tutorials and investigations with students to reinforce what they have seen.

Our recent commitment to hosting University of Nottingham rotations means that we now have very limited availability for farm animal EMS. If you are interested in completing a placement with us, then please email explaining why you are motivated to see practice with our team.

Please note all placements are based out of our Holly Tree branch.
